Books Dario Argento Since meeting Argento for the first time in 1982, Alan Jones has had the privilege of getting to know him on a personal level and has religiously followed Argento all over the world to cover the location filming of each one of his movies. Alan has recently completed two Film Four documentaries on the Italian Horror directors Mario Bava and Dario Argento. The Argento documentary is entitled "An Eye For Horror". Both films will be shown later this month as part of FrightFest 2000 . Here Alan Jones explains how his work on these projects came about. TWO ITALIAN MASTERS OF TERROR (100 mins) NONHOSONNO with Max Von Sydow. Argento thinks the documentary is not only the best he’s ever seen on his life and work but one of the finest on horror cinema in general. Both documentaries will be aired in 2001 on Film Four and Channel Four. American viewers will see them on the American Movie Classics channel tied in with film festivals devoted to the directors' landmark and important work. Utilizzo' anche gli pseudonimi: John Foam John Hold Mickey Lion John M. Old Biografia Nato 31 Luglio del 1914, figlio di Eugenio Bava grande fotografo degli inizi della cinematografia Italiana. Segue le orme del padre curando la fotografia di vari film fino al 1960 (a parte la regia di alcuni cortometraggi negli anni quaranta), affermandosi come un mago degli effetti speciali e lavorando per Paolo Heusch, Riccardo Freda, Jacques Tourneur e Raoul Walsh. Mentre Riccardo Freda (aka Robert Hampton) stava girando "I vampiri" nel 1956 per divergenze con il produttore lascio' il film incompiuto, questo fu quindi completato da Bava.
