I cannot tell you how it feels just after three days of working through the video that I got on Tae-Bo. The basic movements are simple up and down stuff. I can do this no problem. You kick and punch and do faster movements and combinations later on. The video then goes into a more detailed way of how to make the movements. This is not at all difficult. The way Billy Blanks leads you is really excellent. Now with the instructional bit done you move on to the more energetic workout. And there goes your energy. Remember a glass of cool water.

BILLY BLANKS: TaeBo is a basic exercise blended together with ballet, karate, tae kwon do, boxing, hip-hop dancing and weight training with everything combined into one. You have done a great service for the martial arts, because your infomercial has started a new interest in the martial arts. How did you come up with this new concept of Tae Bo? BB : I've studied the martial arts for over thirty-three years. I started with Tang Soo Do, and then Tae Kwon Do. I felt like I needed a supplement (like a vitamin) for Martial Arts. I felt that in order for me to be the best that I could be as fighter, I wanted to work on my endurance and strength. So what I did, was I started to work-out to music. I felt like when I worked-out to music I could work my timing to make me a much better fighter. I felt like my stamina was strong, too. So I said, "What would happen if I took boxing, Tae Kwon Do, dance, and combined it together" I did, I combined them together. The word Tae in Korean means foot and I abbreviated boxing to Bo. So I took it and I said, "You know what!" I'm going to take that and I'm going to get it trade marked. So I created a new style of physical fitness called Tae Bo. I worked on it and worked on it and got the theory down pat. Then I wanted to introduce proof that Tae Bo really works, so I started training people here in California. Before I made the video I wanted to have some proof. So I got the people behind me, people I trained a lot of the people who are doing Tae Bo have been doing it for 15 years, but nobody ever knew it because I didn't have the publicity.
