(100+1 ZZ 1986, Vìda a technika)
.... Máme za sebou poslední kontrolu. Dave Walker nás upoutal do køesel a právì pøed okamžikem opustil Discovery. Teï jsme sami. Je nás sedm: dvaaètyøicetiletý velitel Daniel Brandenstein, dvaaètyøicetiletý pilot John Creighton, jediná žena mezi námi, dvaaètyøicetiletá Shannon Lucidová, která má s palubními inženýry, šestaètyøicetiletým Johnem Fabianem a osmatøicetiletým Stevenem Nagelem na starosti uvedení družic na obìžnou dráhu, a dva cizinci, emír Sultan, as-Saúd, devìtadvacetiletý výzkumný pracovník, synovec saudského krále Fahda, a já, francouzský letec Patrick Baudry. K dobrému i ke zlému. . .

galleys, drafts, and advanced reading copies Hardware space flown fragments and complete artifacts Medallions flown coins and those minted with flown metal Philatelics first day ceremony programs and flown stamps Several years ago I came across Michael Cassutt's (now out-of-print) comprehensive book, Who's Who In Space: The First 25 Years. It includes a narrative biography and photograph for each astronaut, cosmonaut or international space traveler who either flew or was selected to do so within the first quarter century of space exploration. If everyone contained within autographed by their entry, you would have a single item documenting humanity's first steps into the solar system. Imposing a rule that every autograph needs to be " in-person ," this presents quite a challenge. However, the collection grows each year, and I continue to hold the hope of completing the project.
