Called also the Via Crucis, Via Dolorosa or the Way of the Cross, the Stations of the Cross are an old devotion that have been used to instill contemplation of the Passion of Jesus Christ. Why do I find this ironic? Because this is the same ABC that fired Bill Maher for being politically incorrect on his show "Politically Incorrect." And if anyone can blast right past the envelope of political incorrectness, it's Kimmel. His comedy is neither sophisticated nor clever. It is simple and boorish, appealing equally to playground bullies and wife-beaters alike. Sunday, Jan. 19, was Kimmel's last appearance on Fox. Apparently, he wanted to go out with panache. One last middle finger extended at the sensibilities of America, as seen through a Fox studio lens. Kimmel wrote and starred in a skit that featured dwarf actors parodying the other hosts of the show. He closed the skit by saying, "Aren't midgets fun? Everyone should own a midget." Substitute the word midget with nigger, spic, kike or fag, and we've got a serious problem. In this country, that's tantamount to career suicide (anyone remember Jimmy the Greek?). But midget? That word allows Kimmel to be a daring rebel
