They were huge, passionate Kevin Smith fans, and I knew him more for his comic books than the movies at first. I bought my ticket, I walked into a movie theater, the lights went down and ... the next thing I recall was waking up in my bedroom sometime in the early '80s. The walls were plastered in Star Wars posters. The floor was littered with three-and-a-half inch Star Wars action figures. There were rubberized Star Wars decals ironed on to every T-shirt I owned. The intervening years were a blur. In my own defense, I was not the only person to be gripped with Star Wars fever in those halcyon days. It was sort of a public mania really. But time passes. I no longer have Star Wars sheets on my bed, but I have fulfilled a life-long dream by interviewing my childhood idol, Mark Hamill . He is, without a doubt, one of the friendliest, most down-to-earth celebrities I have ever interviewed. In the years since Star Wars and its sequels, Mark Hamill has become a father, an acclaimed stage actor and the voice of over 100 cartoon characters every week (including The Joker on "Batman" and Hobgoblin on "Spider Man"). Recently, Hamill embarked on his newest effort, authoring his very own comic book, a five-issue mini-series from Dark Horse Comics entitled "Black Pearl."
