Unabashed - time . . . last night I slept way -unbonzer. I woke up screaming every 2 hours. I had a dentist's appointment for a marginal tooth that was hurting. I have bone loss bad gums. gf on my cell and cry some more. In my lawyer's office I tell him I'm crying at my dentist's BECAUSE HE'S NOT DOING HIS FUCKING JOB! It works, he says I'm his number one priority. He also tells me that he's had clients who are not bi-polar and facing liver disease wreck apartments, cars and heirlooms. It all helps. I remember a dream I had last night between screaming bouts. I'm at an AA meeting and this woman I had never seen before says something in her share that I identify with very strongly. I go up to her after the meeting and share my experience with her and she rebuts, "Yeah, but you don't have a prosthetic arm!"

A Brief Biography of
H. P. Lovecraft
by W. E. Johns
I. Youth
Into the gap left in Howard's life by the incarceration of his father stepped his grandfather, Whipple Van Buren Phillips (1833-1904). Whipple was a prominant businessman in Providence, starting his career running a general store in 1855, and by 1880 he had established the Owyhee Land and Irrigation Company, which dammed the Snake River in Southwest Idaho, providing irrigation to the surrounding farms and orchards. In 1890, however, the dam washed out and had to be replaced at emourmous expense; by 1900 the company was bankrupt. Whipple bought out most of his partners and gave it another try. The Dreamquest of Unknown Kadath About this same time Lovecraft came across the 1876 edition of Colridge's Rime of the Ancient Mariner Inferno and Milton's Paradise Lost , Lovecraft was profoundly effected. Lovecraft himself dated the beginning of his literary career to 1896; the very first work of his that survives is "The Poem of Ulysses; or, The Odyssey: Written for Young People", an 88 line abstract of Pope's 14,000 line translation of Homer's Odyssey . Stylistically, Lovecraft's work owes more to

Introduction
Breast cancer and carcinoma of the prostate belong to a group of hormone- dependent cancers that would also include tumours of the ovary and endometrium. These cancers comprise a major proportion of the so-called `Western Diseases.' The incidence of and mortality from these cancers are high in the Western world relative to the rates associated with Asian populations such as the Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Filipino, and somewhat higher than those for people in countries surrounding the Mediterranean. Cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis follow a similar pattern and would also be considered `Western Diseases". Carcinoma of the breast remains the principal cause of death from cancer in women in the developed countries of the West and particularly in the United States of America and Northern Europe. A recent report (Boyle et al . 1995) confirms that the highest incidence rates are exclusively within the United States with an annual rate of 104.2 cases per 100 000 population observed for white women in the Bay Area of San Francisco. Outside of the United States the highest rates occur in Porto Allegre in Brazil (78.5/100 000 annually) and in Geneva in Switzerland (73.5/100 000 annually). Very much lower rates are reported in Asia with an annual rate of 17.6/100 000 in Yamagata, Japan and 9.5/100 000 in Qidong, China. In England and Wales breast cancer constitutes 28% of all female cancers with 25 000 women annually presenting and 15 000 dying from the condition each year (Dhom 1991).

how is the ll-patch going ?
there was not much talk about it recently, and i'd hate to see it
die again due to lack of interest, especially after the riot we
caused on lkml :)
probably it could use some more testing and feedback, right, andrew
i tried to check it out, but since i have reiserfs, there are
conflicting patches and i seem to be out of luck. has anyone else
tried ? it seems with andrew's approach we're on the right track and might make it into the standard kernel. if some of you are trying the patch, please let the list know and
