Carian : Latarbelakang Rakam Khanah P.Ramlee Rakam Khanah telah wujud sejak wujudnya siaran radio di Malaya pada tahun 1946. Pada 1 Februari 1959 setelah 2 tahun Tanah Melayu mencapai kemerdekaan Radio Malaya berpecah dua dan berpindah ke Ibu Pejabat baru di Kuala Lumpur manakala Radio Singapura kekal di stesen asalnya. Rakam Khanah juga turut berpindah ke Ibu Pejabat barunya di Kuala Lumpur. Rakam Khanah ditadbirkan secara bersendirian dari tahun 1946 sehingga 1963. Pada tahun 1964 Rakam Khanah ditadbirkan di bawah Perkhidmatan Muzik sehingga tahun 1972 apabila ianya ditadbirkan oleh Bahagian Khidmat Am. Rakam Khanah ditadbirkan id bawah Bahagian Urusan Rancangan mulai tahun 1982 sehingga kini. Pada 26 Julai 1973 Rakam Khanah dengan rasminya dinamakan Rakam Khanah P.Ramlee sebagai menghargai jasa dan sumbangan Allahyarham P.Ramlee dalam bidang seni tanah air. Allahyarham P.Ramlee juga merupakan satu -s atunya seniman yang 'versatile' yang dikenali oelh semua kaum bukan sahaja di tanahair malah di peringkat antarabangsa. Upacara penamaan Rakam Khanah P.Ramlee telah disempurnakan oleh balu Allahyarham, Puan Saloma. Majlis tersebut turut juga disaksikan oleh Menteri Penerangan dan Menteri Tugas - Tugas Khas, Tan Sri Ghazali Shafie, Setiausaha Parlimen Kementerian Penerangan Encik Shariff Ahmad, Puan Sri Khatijah, isteri Menteri Penerangan, Jins Shamsuddin serta pegawai - pegawai kanan Kementerian Penerangan.

Ramlee memang layak digelar artis ‘versatile’ kerana kebolehan beliau dalam bidang seni yang masih belum ada pengganti sehingga ke hari ini. Buku ini merupakan catatan pengalaman peribadi Yusnor Ef atau nama sebenarnya Md. Noor bin Yusof. Beliau yang merupakan anak didik P.Ramlee menyorot dan mengimbau kembali detik-detik manis, pahit, suka, duka, jatuh bangun P.Ramlee dalam bidang seni sepanjang penulis mengenali P.Ramlee. Yusnor Ef merupakan seorang bekas pendidik dan penerbit TV Pendidikan (Educational Television Producer) Kementerian Pendidikan Singapura. Setelah bersara, beliau bekerja sepenuh masa sebagai penulis, penyelidik dan penerbit rancangan-rancangan TV di Singapura. Buku setebal 147 mukasurat ini mengandungi 47 bab. Buku ini ditulis dalam gaya bahasa yang mudah difahami dan diselitkan dengan ungkapan perbualan sebenar di antara penulis dengan P.Ramlee. Pada permulaan bab, penulis menceritakan detik-detik permulaan beliau meminati filem-filem Melayu setelah menonton filem Pisau Berachun yang dibintangi oleh Bakhtiar Effendi, Kasmah Booty, Rokiah Hanafi. Bermula dari zaman sekolah, penulis mula meminati P.Ramlee selepas menonton filem Nasib dan Nilam dan bercita-cita tinggi untuk menjadi seperti P.Ramlee. Dengan semangat kental dan jitu, beliau yang tidak mengenal putus asa untuk berjaya, akhirnya harapan yang setinggi gunung itu tercapai juga apabila P.Ramlee bersedia mengambil beliau sebagai anak didiknya.

Ramlee. Since his passing on May 29, 1973, at the age of 45, the void that now exists in the entertainment world has not been filled, as aptly conveyed by pop diva Sheila Majid in her song about the legend. In 1995, American balladeer Lobo recorded an English version of the P.Ramlee classic Getaran Jiwa and named it Whispers in the Wind. The remake featured several Asian instruments, which gave the song an exotic and Oriental sound. In that same album, Classic Hits, Lobo also recorded the folksy Geylang Si Paku Geylang in English, giving it the title No Secrets. Getaran Jiwa was also recorded as a “duet” between KRU and the late singer, which caused quite a stir but was lauded as an engineering feat in the Malaysian music industry.

A Tribute to Tan Sri P Ramlee On 19 August 1998, the album "The Bolshoi Ballet Theatre Orchestra of Tashkent Presents Tan Sri P Ramlee" was launched. The album takes listeners on a nostalgic journey of the works of one of Malaysiaís most renowned artistes, Tan Sri P Ramlee. The brainchild of Renong Berhad Executive Chairman, Tan Sri Halim Saad, the album signifies the presentation and preservation of some of the nation's greatest artistic treasures in a refreshing form, in order to capture a wider target audience. Combining classical music traditions with the evergreen works of Malaysia's legendary composer, "The Bolshoi Ballet Theatre Orchestra of Tashkent Presents Tan Sri P Ramlee" succeeds in elevating the late Tan Sri P Ramlee's music beyond language and racial boundaries. As the sole sponsor and executive producer of the album, Renong created history by having the works of Tan Sri P Ramlee recorded by a world-class orchestra in an instrumental form. Arrangements for four of the songs (Menceceh Bujang Lapuk,Getaran Jiwa, Bunga Melor and Bila Mama Pakai Celana) were courtesy of Panggung Negara while Di mana Kan Ku Cari Ganti was arranged by the producer, Johan Abdullah. The remaining 11 tracks were scored by the orchestra themselves.
