bluebird's story 1965...a time of innocence, friends, bicycles and music This is when I first started listening to and loving Bobby Sherman. His songs, as uncomplicated as they were, were full of meaning to a child. He sang of love and hope for love, and the pleadings of a young man trying to capture his lady's attentions. He sang of Peace in a time when peace was at a premium. I can remember my friend Roni and I laying on our beds, cutting picture after picture of Bobby Sherman out of the popular fan magazines, 16 and TigerBeat , dreaming of the day we'd MEET Bobby and quite possibly marry him. THE BOBBY SHERMAN VOLUNTEER EMT FOUNDATION The Bobby Sherman Volunteer EMT Foundation is a non-profit organization Bobby created to provide first aid and emergency medical services at charitable and community events in the Southern California area. As an EMT instructor Bobby saw the need for a clearinghouse where qualified Emergency Medical Technicians could volunteer their services for worthwhile gatherings. The Foundation also provides equipment and supplies which many EMT's could not afford on their own. Bobby receives no compensation of any kind from the Foundation and has personally provided most of its funding. To help raise money to expand the Foundation's activities, Bobby has, in the past been able to provide a small number of original tapes from his own cache. Bobby Sherman was a classic teen idol, the kind of handsome charmer who could drive young girls wild with one flash of his smile. He moved from television stardom to musical success with several slick hit singles in the late 60’s and early 70’s. Sherman’s love affair with music began at age 11 when he learned the trumpet. He would go on to master a total of 16 different instruments during his childhood. Sherman later became a featured performer on the TV program Shindig , which led to guest roles on shows like The Monkees and The F.B.I. My sister Diane and I have been to 26 Bobby Sherman concerts so far, 27 if you count the one I went to in 1971. Bobby Sherman is an extraordinary person. I love him so much. Bobby Sherman fans are the most wonderful people you'll ever meet. I am so grateful for the Internet, it has allowed us to share all our thrilling Bobby moments with each other. The Bobby Babes are having the time of our lives thanks to Bobby Sherman and the Internet. I would never have believed when I sat in my room 35 years ago, cutting and tacking all those hundreds of pictures of Bobby Sherman on my bedroom walls, that some day I'd actually be able to meet him in person and talk to him on the phone. In October 1998, Nancy and Suzie hosted an East Coast Bobby Babe party and were kind enough to invite us. We were all sitting around watching Bobby Sherman videos, and listening to Bobby Sherman music when the phone rang at about 11:15pm and it was him. Bobby Sherman heard about the party and called to talk to all of us. We got to talk to Bobby Sherman on the phone for about 5 minutes each. After each had their turn, the rest of the Babes were there waiting to catch you, hugging and crying. It went on for hours. That was an incredible night. It just goes to show that if you want something bad enough and never give up trying, you can do anything. Bobby called me to wish me a Happy Birthday too! It was a call I'd waited 35 years for! Oh it was so exciting, what a thrill that was. It was like nothing else in the world! He sang Happy Birthday to me and I was never so happy to be another year older in my life! Bobby Sherman is the nicest, kindest, warmest, most generous man I have ever met. He's made my dreams come true.

My Bobby Sherman Scrapbook I am so excited about the Bobby Sherman, Davy Jones and Peter Noone, Teen Idol Tour. I saw it in Baltimore on 6/21/98 and the Nissan Pavilion in Virginia on 7/25/98. We also went to Lancaster, PA on 9/5/98, and Mount Pocono on 9/6/98. We plan to go to Clearwater, Florida too. I will post my favorite photos from the tour on my website for you to enjoy. I attended the Meet and Greet at Nissan Pavilion in Manassas, Virginia on Saturday, July 25th, 1998 at 7:45pm. It was so unbelievably fantastic. We all gathered around the VIP area. It was an outdoor deck area surrounded by concrete walls on 3 sides and a building on the back wall, really private except for the 35 other people there! There were the fan club members, radio contest winners, DJ's, and a group of OR nurses from a hospital there too. We were close to the end of the receiving line. Bobby came in and began down the line posing for pictures, shaking hands and signing autographs with everybody. God he looked great! Then it was our turn.

Box 491385 Los Angeles, CA 90049 We received this nomination from a friend. "The Bobby Sherman Volunteer EMT Foundation is my nomination. This organization was founded and basically funded by former Teen Idol, Bobby Sherman. They help cover the costs of training and staffing EMTs for public events and attractions in the southern California area, so that the local EMTs are free to perform their duties, and are not tied up at a function. They are all trained and certified EMTs that man the first aid booths at concerts, fairs, and all sorts of events in that are. Bobby once said in an interview that he'd like to someday have this as a nationwide program. Bobby is an EMT/D with both the L.A. police force and the San Bernadino County Sheriiff's office, and donates his salary back to the city. This man has done so much good. I try to support this organization as much as I can!
