Ka Kui's accident June 24th, 1993 I research more things about the accident. If you can give me some advice, please send me a mail June 23th, 1993 Beyond went to Fuji TV studio in Tokyo. The filming of "Ucchan-nanchan no yarunara yaraneba" started. "Ucchan-nanchan" is one of the famous Japanese comedian. It is composed of two comedians; Uchimura and Nanbara. They are still very popular in Japan. June 24th, 1993 The accident occurred at 1:00 a.m.. Ka Kui and Uchimura fell down a set which height was 2.7m(8.9feet). This picture was took just before the accident. You can see Ka Kui, who ware raising his right hand. According to the word of TV studio staff, they soon get felt kindred spirits. So Ka Kui and members came to think to work hard. The accident occurred in that situation. Japanese papers said that because of the wetness of the set, Ka Kui and Uchimura slipped and fell. This is a diagram of the set. Ka Kui and Uchimura were standing on (1). (2) is a plywood which was painted a background scenery. The above picture was took from (3). A plywood was boarded easily. The moment of the accident, Ka Kui and Uchimura slipped and leaned the plywood, but it couldn't support them.

Once again I have became a fan of Beyond. Yes, the present one. Thanks to my favorite album of all... SOUND First, I would like to say is that I am not really a fan of present Beyond, but the one with Wong Ka Kui. Ironically, only just get to admire him after his death .Before that they gave me the feeling that they are very noisy and I can't stand them. But due to the publicityof his death, I suddenly came to appreciate his music... I began to feel his songs.The more I listen the more I was addicated How can I reject him then?I was really crazy about them and stop listening to other singers for some time. 30th June is his death anniversary and that day when I heard on the radio about it, the special feeling come again and thus this short page was created in memory of him. His songs were mostly about actual happening and feelings of life (composed mostly by him), filled with anger, sadness, hope, wishes, ideals ... Then the song was put to life with the coordination of the other members. Listening to them, I tends to 'move' with them. Really very hard to describe the feeling. but my advice is not to reject this talent (too bad cannot hear from him again...). Get a Cantonese(more orginal) compilation and I dare say that you won't regret. There is 1 with 3 CDs with a book of the song's lyrics and some description of each song and history. For example Kuan1 Hui1 Shui4 Yue4 (Bright Years).This song won him Best Lyrics Award in 1990. His concern for the blacks in the African tribes and fights between them inspired him to write this song. "Can't we ignored the colour of our skin or rank/status and live peacefully so that the future is bright and beautiful ?". This shows that they have transform from a band dissatified with the society to one that is concern with the sufferings of people around the world.
