Important: The information on this page is for informational purposes only, and is not intended to replace medical consulation with your health care professionals. The aim is to help people become more informed health care consumers and to illustrate what vast data are available on the internet; it should never be construed as a substitute for consultation with your health care professional.
Drug Information RxList A collection of specific data on all prescription drugs, very similar to that contained in prescription inserts. Covers chemical data, contraindications/drug interactions, pharmacokinetics, metabolism, how supplied, etc. Physicians' Desk Reference (PDR) - no longer available on-line, unless you're a physician, nurse, or other potential drug prescriber.. Medications - Internet Mental Health a large amount of information on most pharmaceuticals used in the treatment of mental illness. Similar to Rxlist (above), but confined to this single drug area; however, the information available is somewhat more extensive on each drug contained. MedLine Plus contains consumer information on over 9,000 Rx and OTC medications. Very nicely done, but there is no real technical data, such as mechanisms of action, metabolism, pharmacokinetics, etc.

http://www.medichem.com/services/medchem.htm
Home Proteomics Lead Discovery Lead Optimization ... Strategic Drug Development As implied by our name, MediChem, we were founded with the focus of providing medicinal chemistry services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Our in-house chemistry-focused resources, combined with our network of external collaborators, provides a framework for managing an entire medicinal chemistry program from lead discovery through early-stage human clinical trials. Our scientific team possesses a wealth of expertise in medicinal chemistry research obtained through academic training, prior industry experience and our relationship with external partners. Our medicinal chemistry management team applies the requisite tools to conduct full-scale medicinal chemistry programs for our clients. We offer our clients a broad spectrum of medicinal chemistry services. These services range from early-stage lead optimization studies that culminate in candidate selection for development to the identification of viable synthetic routes required to produce materials for both pre-clinical and clinical studies. Our lead optimization programs include analog synthesis and focused compound libraries obtained from combinatorial chemistry, the collection and analysis of SAR data and computer-assisted drug design. Success in these programs is defined by the improved biological activity and safety profile of lead compounds.
