Unfortunately both men died in 1979 and so they did not hear the first performance given by the Royal Dutch Marine Band and saxophone player Johan Perik. Het was op verzoek van Pieter Molenaar dat Ronald Binge zelf een arrangement van zijn saxofoonconcerto voor harmonieorkest maakte. Spijtig genoeg overleden beide in 1979 en konden de premiere van deze harmonieversie door de Marinierskapel, met Johan Perik als solist, niet meer meemaken. Allegro Spirituoso - Romance - RondoLe "Concerto pour Saxophone" de Ronald Binge (1910-1979) a été écrit pour le « BBC Light Music Festival » et a été créé par le saxophoniste Michael Krein au Royal Festival Hall à Londres.
