In 1850 Archibald and Catherine, both born in Pennsylvania circa 1806, resided in Jackson Township with their sons Charles, William H., Jonathan K., and Henry Porter. These sons are the known children of Archibald and Catherine, with their relationships proven through census, land, probate, and other vital records. There is speculation that there were other children born to this marriage but the relationships remain unproved to me at this time and the search continues. My direct lines include two of the brothers, William H. Adams and Jonathan K. Adams. My Great-Grandfather Charles Lindsay Adams, son of Jonathan K. Adams and Margaret Ellen Adams, married Hannah Nancy Adams, daughter of William H. Adams and Malinda Wilson. I knew at the time I began my research that Charles and Hannah were cousins. I never dreamed that the greater Adams Family had woven such a tangled thread to follow by marrying and intermarrying within the Adams and Wilson families of Greene County. At the botton of this page you will find Links to Township Maps from Caldwells's Atlas of Greene and Washington Counties, Newspaper Articles from Thorp Wisconsin, and notes relating to my Adams Family of Greene County. UNITED STATES COURT OF APPEALS FOR THE FIRST CIRCUIT No. 95-1814 JOANNE JOYCE, Plaintiff - Appellant, v. TOWN OF TEWKSBURY, MASSACHUSETTS, JOHN R. MACKEY, ALFRED DONOVAN AND ROBERT BUDRYK, Defendants - Appellees. APPEAL FROM THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE DISTRICT OF MASSACHUSETTS [Hon. A. David Mazzone, Senior U.S. District Judge Before Torruella, Chief Judge Campbell, Senior Circuit Judge and Boudin, Circuit Judge , with whom was on brief for appellant. Leonard H. Kesten , with whom Deidre Brennan Regan and were on brief for appellees. January 17, 1997 TORRUELLA, Chief Judge BACKGROUND In reviewing the district court's grant of summary judgment, we present the facts in the light most favorable to the nonmovant, here the Joyces. See e.g. Woodman v. Haemonics Corp. , 51 F.3d 1087, 1089 n.1 (1st Cir. 1995). The following facts are undisputed. Shortly after 11:15 p.m. on August 6, 1989, two police officers employed by the Town of Tewksbury, Alfred Donovan ("Donovan") and Robert Budryk ("Budryk") (together, "the officers"), were dispatched to the Joyces' single family residence on the basis of a tip that the Joyces' son, Lance Joyce ("Lance"), had violated a protective order and could be found at the Joyces' house. The officers were sent to the Joyces' house in order to arrest Lance. At the time, Lance was not regularly residing with the Joyces. The officers approached the side door of the house, knocked on the door, and observed Lance inside. Lance opened the inside door. Through the closed storm door, the officers told Lance that they had a warrant for his arrest, to which Lance replied, "ya right."

    Tilly
He travels after a winter sun,
Urging the cattle along a cold red road,
Calling to them, a voice they know,
He drives his beasts above Cabra. The voice tells them home is warm.
They moo and make brute music with their hoofs.
He drives them with a flowering branch before him,
Smoke pluming their foreheads. Boor, bond of the herd,
Tonight stretch full by the fire!
I bleed by the black stream
    For my torn bough!
Watching the Needleboats at San Sabba
I heard their young hearts crying
Loveward above the glancing oar And heard the prairie grasses sighing: No more, return no more! O hearts, O sighing grasses, Vainly your loveblown bannerets mourn! No more will the wild wind that passes Return, no more return.
A Flower Given to My Daughter
Frail the white rose and frail are Her hands that gave Whose soul is sere and paler Than time's wan wave. Rosefrail and fair yet frailest A wonder wild In gentle eyes thou veilest, My blueveined child.
    She Weeps over Rahoon
Rain on Rahoon falls softly, softly falling

Commentary Children Researcher List Register Report ... Home I (Marty Grant) am not related to John Bryson as far as I know, but I am very interested in this family. John Bryson was born 5 Dec 1753 in Virginia, probably in Orange County. He is a proven son of John and Margaret Bryson of VA and Surry Co, NC. His name and birth date were recorded in his brother James Bryson 's Family Bible. No other information about John's family is given though. John Bryson (often referred to as John "Jr" to distinguish him from his father John) was a Captain during the American Revolution. I don't have these records yet, so can't give any details. The John Bryson family came to Surry Co, NC before 1780 and settled in the north part of the County, north of the Yadkin River and near Ararat (a.k.a. Tararat) River and Lovings Creek. John Bryson married Esther Joyce ca 1771. She was a daughter of Alexander Joyce, as proven by her obituary (included below). On 19 Sep 1783 William Hall of Montgomery Co, VA sold John Bryson
