Bedømmelserne var ikke så pæne og uretfærdige, mener ejeren Michael Carl fra Chris-Wine A/S. Vi har modtaget et brev fra Michael Carl med hans version af WineSpectators bedømmelsesmetoder, som vi bringer nedenfor: "Det er selvfølgelig altid en god historie at videregive, når et af Danmark's førende vinfirmaer kommer lidt i klemme med deres eget slot i en vinsmagning, men resultatet skal måske tages med et gran salt. Château de Seguin's vine, og specielt Cuvée Carl, blev smagt op imod alle de store fra St. Emilion såsom Angelus, Pavie, Cheval Blanc o.s.v., og det er selvfølgelig et flot selskab. Der bør tages tages højde for følgende: Château de Seguin's vine blev trukket en uge før smagningen, da vi endnu ikke er medlem af Union de Grand Crus, og blev transporteret til et hotel i Bordeaux valgt af James Suckling. Jeg kender ikke opbevaringsforholdene indtil smagningen. Enhver ved også, at der er stor forskel på fadprøverne. Jeg har selv smagt flere af de store med en uges interval, da der i år var arrangeret en forsmagning i Bordeaux inden journalisternes ankomst. Nigel Westlake and Carl Vine are two of Australia's most celebrated composers, and both had a role in creating the music for the award-winning Australian film Babe , Westlake writing the score and Vine orchestrating it. In this special concert, audiences will be delighted by each composer conducting his own score. The Queensland Symphony Orchestra, noted proponents of Australian music, are joined by formidable musicians. The Family of Harry Meyer and Bertha Anne Marie (nee Mayerhoff) INTRODUCTION CARL MAYERHOFF'S VINEYARD (Some family history) I had a good Methodist upbringing, and my parents confined their alcoholic consumption to the occasional glass of beer or shandy on special occasions. Wine was something consumed by undesirables who lived under bridges, although there was a bottle of sherry in the kitchen cupboard to be used in the custard trifle. My family did not have a wine background. My mother's family, the Illmans, had been farmers at Dowlingville on Yorke Peninsula, before moving to Balaklava. My father's father, a plumber by trade, was born in Scotland, and came to Tasmania at the age of six months, 'in a pirate ship' he told us. We knew little of my father's mother and her family, although it was a source of some humour that they had built an airship that didn't get off the ground. The purchase of our plot of land in 1974, that was to become The Wilson Vineyard, and the planting of vines, and the subsequent winemaking venture was radically out of step with the family tradition.

That's where the Missouri Children's Burn Camp comes in. Located on the Lake of the Ozarks, Burn Camp provides freedom from the rejection, isolation, loneliness and frustrations often experienced by a burn survivor. The camp offers burn survivors a place to unite, play, heal, grow and support each other after suffering disfiguring burns. Children have an opportunity to share their stories, bond with other children, and enjoy fun summer activities including: boating, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, swimming, and crafts. Burn camp is for children between the ages of 7 to 17 who have been hospitalized for burns. Enrollment is subject to medical approval. Campers attend at no charge. The camp is sponsored by Burns Recovered Support Group and supported by public and private benefactors.
