The persistent or recurrent inability to achieve or maintain an erection good enough to complete your chosen sexual activity satisfactorily, whether that's masturbation, oral sex or vaginal or anal intercourse. The occasional inability to achieve a satisfactory erection doesn't normally constitute a problem.

What's the risk?
  • Most men will experience an erection problem at least once. This could be due to stress, exhaustion, too much alcohol or simply not feeling like sex. Persistent erectile dysfunction (ED) is estimated to affect about 10% of men at any one time.
Top of Page
What causes it?
There are two main causes of ED: physical and psychological. Most doctors agree that the majority of cases are physical but it's also clear that many men with ED also quickly start to feel anxious, stressed or depressed. These feelings can easily make the symptoms of ED worse. The main physical causes are:
  • Diabetes Inadequate blood flow to the penis because arteries have got furred-up (a condition called atherosclerosis) or damaged. This causes about 40% of ED cases in men aged over 50. Smoking cigarettes, which is implicated in up to 80% of ED cases, constricts the blood vessels and is a major cause of damage to the arteries leading to the penis. One little-known cause of damage to key blood vessels is

Viagra
Viagra is a remarkably effective, easy-to-use treatment for ED. All a man has to do is swallow a pill about an hour before sexual activity and he can then respond naturally to sexual stimulation. It works regardless of the underlying cause of ED and has proved to be an effective treatment for seven out of ten men with the condition. There can be side-effects, although they are seldom serious. The most common are headaches, facial flushing and indigestion. Only two in every hundred men stop using the drug because of the side-effects. Men taking drugs containing nitrates should not use Viagra as the two drugs in combination can cause large and sudden drops in blood pressure. Nitrates are used in some drugs prescribed for angina and can also be found in the recreational drug known as "poppers". Men with low blood pressure shouldn't use Viagra either. Click to close

SEXUAL DESIRE DISORDERS(302.xx)
This could be treated with age regression techniques to get to the base of the
disorder (the first incident that it occurred) At this level we can explore the reasons behind the original incident (could be trauma, substance abuse, fears, etc.) Sometimes the patient can have a spontaneous remission (usually after catharsis) when understanding the bases of the disorder. This would be a mixture of hypnotherapy and a reality cognitive approach once regressed to that period.
Many times the patient has an expectation disorder or expecting to fail due to the original failure. This is relieved by suggestive techniques and also by setting up a situation where the patient and the significant other have non threatening relationships (possibly while being dressed, therefore there is no expectation to succeed and no threat of failure).
If the origin is abuse related I usually do a Gestalt type hypnotherapy with the empty chair technique and the patient then can confront the abuser. This relieves the feelings of guilt that the patient has. After I have the patient do a parts therapy where he/she talks to the patient at that age and settles the problem subconsciously.

SEXUAL PROBLEMS
There is no doubt that hypnosis works, when it is properly used by a trained hypnotherapist. It is an exceptional tool in helping people overcome any kind of sexual problem, such as frigidity, impotence, menstrual problems, incest, exhibitionism, transvestism, masochism, sadism, etc. Hypnosis is also helpful in aiding rape victims in overcoming fears and anxieties resulting from the trauma of having been raped.
Sexual Relations is not abnormal. It is one way two people can unite together as an expression of love and affection.
We are sexual beings as well as spiritual beings. Without sex we would not be here, and this is true whether your mother was married to your father or not. It is true whether you know who your mother or father is or not.
Sex is not merely an act for the purpose of reproduction. It is also an emotion. It is a relationship between two people. It is a normal, biological feeling which begins long before people reach an age of becoming legally married.

Sexual Dysfunctions
This site covers the following topics:
Female Hypoactive Sexual Desire
Hypoactive sexual desire refers to a deficiency or absence of sexual fantasies and desire for sexual activity. Usually, it occurs in adulthood in association with difficulty obtaining sexual arousal or orgasm stressful life events , relationship problems, or psychological distress (especially depression Some evidence suggests that Hurlbert's Combined Treatment is useful in the treatment of female hypoactive sexual desire. While other psychotherapies may be helpful for treatment of female hypoactive sexual desire, they have not been evaluated scientifically in the same way as the treatment listed here. For more information on Female Hypoactive Sexual Desire (Inhibited Sexual Desire), please see Dr. Koop's Medical Encyclopedia Page on Inhibited Sexual Desire . This page provides a more complete definition and information on treatment.
Female Orgasmic Dysfunction
Female orgasmic dysfunction refers to a delay in or inability to achieve orgasm following a normal sexual arousal phase. Since there is wide variability in the type and intensity of stimulation that triggers orgasm, to be diagnosed with female orgasmic dysfunction, the woman's sexual response should be less than what would be considered reasonable for her age, sexual experience, and the adequacy of sexual stimulation she receives. Female orgasmic dysfunction commonly affects body image, self-esteem, and relationship satisfaction.

Disorders
Sexual disorders include problems of sexual identity, sexual performance, and sexual aim. There are three major catergories of sexual disorders: sexual dysfunctions paraphilia , and gender identity disorders
Sexual Dysfunctions Sexual dysfunctions prevent or reduce an individual's enjoyment of normal sex and prevent or reduce the normal physiological changes brought on normally by sexual arousal. These dysfunctions can be classified by the phase of the sexual cycle in which they occur. It is important to keep in mind that the diagnosis of sexual dysfunction is made only when the disability persists. Any of them could occur occasionally or be caused by a temporary factor such as fatigue, sickness, alcohol, or drugs.
The Desire Phase There are two types of dysfunctions that can occur during the desire phase. One is hypoactive desire which is basically a disinterest in sexual activity. It results in a complete or almost complete lack of desire to have any type of sexual relation. This can often result in the participation in intercourse as a simple marital duty. The second type is an aversion to sex This is different from simple hypoactive sexual desire in that sexual activity actually repulses the person or makes them unusually apprehensive. This is most often the result of a traumatic sexual experience, such as molestation as a child or rape.

http://www.bionixcells.com/women.htm
Female sexual dysfunctions The lack of sexual appetite or frigidity is a common condition affecting millions of women. This condition is caused, for the most part, to the diminution of oestradiol and testosterone... yes testosterone! The oestrogens, ovarian secretions, neither increase the interest of a woman for sex nor the intensity of her orgasmes. Headaches, migraines, sudden changes of mood as well as an inconstant menstrual cycle, are generally caused by an unbalanced hormonal system. Many women use the contraceptive pill, without really knowing its constitution or the long-term effects which it can generate, with the only aim of regularizing their hormonal system. BionixCells harmonizes the hormonal system by providing it with the appropriate level of oestrogen, that the weakened, sick or old cells have stopped producing. Carpe Diem Labs is proud to present BionixCells for Women. A revolutionnary line of products designed to increase women's sexual appetite and harmonize their hormonal system. Its unique conception of fresh cells from embryonic extracts will enhance all aspects of women sexual lives. BionixCells for Women will initiate a regeneration of the ill, weakened and old cells which are directly responsible for the production of oestradiol and testosterone. These hormones, in major part, are directly connected to the sexual desire of the woman.

How does one know that the sexual appetite craving? Sex addicts usually have a recognizable psychological profile. 80% of addicts are men, and generally suffer from low self-esteem. Also they have a history of abuse in childhood. Sex addicts are of three categories: The first or basic from is the commonest. This is a person

CAUSES, INCIDENCE , AND RISK FACTORS Sexual dysfunction can be present throughout life or may develop after an individual has previously experienced normal sexual responses. The impairment may develop gradually over time, or may occur suddenly and present itself either as total or partial dysfunction in one or more stages of the sexual response cycle. The cause of sexual dysfunction may be physical, psychological, or both. Emotional factors include both interpersonal problems (such as marital/relationship disharmony, or lack of trust and open communication between partners) and psychological problems within the individual (depression, sexual fears or guilt, past sexual trauma, and so on). Physical factors include drugs (alcohol, nicotine, narcotics, stimulants, antihypertensives, antihistamines, or most psychotherapeutic drugs), a common factor in all ages; complications related to back, prostate, or vascular (blood vessel) surgeries; neurological problems caused by trauma (such as spinal cord injuries) or disease (such as diabetic neuropathy , multiple sclerosis , tumors, and tertiary syphilis ); failure of various organ systems (such as the circulatory and respiratory systems); endocrine disorders (thyroid, pituitary, or adrenal gland problems); and some fetal development abnormalities.
