Danbury United Reformed Church is more a village chapel than a church with seating for 80 people, although we have managed to squeeze in 110 for our diamond 60th anniversary service three years ago. Holt Voluntary Controlled Primary School A Church of England and United Reformed Church Joint Foundation School Holt Primary School is a small rural village primary school and it was built about twenty-five years ago in the 1970's and is an amalgamation of two small church schools that coexisted in the village. It is housed in pleasant, modern buildings set in attractive grounds in the village of Holt, which is within easy reach of Trowbridge, Melksham and Bradford-on-Avon. It is a lively, active school with approximately 100 children on roll. At present the children are taught in four classes. Classes 1, 3 and 4 have a full-time teacher in each class. The teaching, in Class 2 is shared by the Headteacher and another member of staff. Some ESA support is available, placed across the school according to need.
