The Audio Engineering Society , now in its fifth decade, is the only professional society devoted exclusively to audio technology. Its membership of leading engineers, scientists and other authorities has increased dramatically throughout the world, greatly boosting the society's stature and that of its members in a truly symbiotic relationship. Membership information can be found here
AES Sections serve members in 47 concentrated geographic areas throughout the world. Sections in Australia, Canada, Europe, Japan, Mexico, South America, and the United States hold local meetings regularly for the dissemination of the most current audio information. Contact and meeting information for all AES Sections can be found here.
Technical standards are continually being developed under the auspices of the society. Many of them have since been accepted by international standards organizations as the model for their standards on the same material. This activity is under the direction of the AES Standards Committee.

HBE Engineering, Inc. provides automatic recirculation valves for centrifugal pump minimum flow protection.
Valve sizes range from 150 lb to 2500 lb ANSI rated for 1 inch to 30 inch inlet/outlet sizes. These valves are capable of handling main flow demands up to 40,000 gpm. Automatic recirculation valves from HBE provide effective centrifugal pump protection from serious damage which can result from temperature rise or instability if operated below the required minimum flow. In addition the HBE automatic recirculation valves are highly cost effective by combining the multiple functions of main flow check valve, flow sensing, minimum flow control, pressure reduction, and pulsation dampening into a single valve body. Also available:
    • Single and multistage pressure breakdown orifices for pump minflow protection and warmup.
    • Anti-flash valves for bypass piping protection.
All products are available in carbon steel, various grades of stainless steel, low-temp and specialty alloys.
