An EHD device uses a direct conversion of electrical energy into kinetic energy. A specially shaped electrostatic field creates an hydrostatic pressure (or motion) in dielectric media. If the media is a fluid like air (or aether), a flow is produced and this produces a motion of the device. A powered flow of medium (like air or aether) within a shaped electrostatic field adds energy to the system which is picked up (as potential difference) by electrodes and thus produces energy

NASA is known worldwide for routinely putting people into Earth orbit. The agency is also revered as the only organization that has flung humans at escape velocity speeds to the Moon. However, NASA could also be known as an agency that's going nowhere fast. Even NASA's new chief, Sean O'Keefe, is keen about the need for speed. The agency is stuck in slow gear, he gripes, scooting about in spacecraft today at velocities not much greater than when John Glenn first sped into Earth orbit over 40 years ago. The Earth has a magnetosphere, produced by the terrestrial magnetic field and plasma from the ionization of the upper layers of the atmosphere. The M2P2 will parallel these naturally occurring systems by creating an electromagnetic bubble or mini-magnetosphere around the spacecraft. Credit: Robert Winglee. Click to enlarge.
Mini-Magnetospheric Plasma Propulsion (M2P2) is an advanced plasma propulsion system that will enable spacecraft to attain unprecedented speeds, with minimal energy and mass requirements. This rendering depicts a mini-magnetosphere deployed around a spacecraft. Plasma or ionized gas is trapped on the magnetic field lines generated onboard, and this plasma inflates the magnetic field much like hot air in a balloon. Photo courtesy: R. M. [First excuse our english] We inform of our the recent and decisive progress in a propulsion system (SC2.12) finally alternative to rocketry becouse it was conceived in the final purpose of a propulsion system that can perform manned outposts in the Moon and Mars. The PNN uses the electromagnetic field as mass of reaction with reaction momentum p much greather than p=E/c (E= electromagnetic energy , c= velocity of light).
PNN therefore is distinguished from the chemical and ionic propulsion (using mass of reaction) as well as the propulsion based on solar sail i.e. the photonic propulsion (which impulse cannot exceed p=E/c).
Its primary source of energy is of electric nature so SC2.12 is a propellanless propulsion system.

Information about Seafury propulsions Systems surface-piercing propellors which provide exceptionally Category Regional Oceania New Zealand Business and Economy Marine......The unique features of Seafury propulsion Systems surfacepiercing propellersprovide exceptionally quiet and economical high speed power boat cruising.
    http://www.seafury.com/
Seafury Surface Drives are ideally suited for commercial vessels including high-speed ferries, fishing boats, commercial dive boats, excursions boats, restaurant and casino boats, work boats, crew boats, water taxis, and pollution control craft. Government agencies operation rescue, patrol, fire fighting, drug interdiction, and coast guard vessels also select surface drives.
To optimise boat performance, productivity and fuel economy, Seafury drives match to most marine diesel and may also be used with many marine gasoline and gas turbine engines. Twin and triple installations increase the total installed propulsion power.
Quality pleasure boats also benefit from the high performance, durability, light weight, and efficiency of Seafury surface drives.
Seafury drives offer many advantages compared with some of the more complex surface drives including easy installation, high performance, smooth operation, low maintenance, and excellent value. Especially notable is the unique 45-degree transom for excellent reversing characteristics and the integral engine exhaust. Minimal moving parts, no external hydraulics or electrical components make this a very simple drive to install and maintain.
Surface drives are typically applied with planing and semi-planing hulls free of the drag inducing appendages (underwater propellers, rotating shafts, skegs, and rudders) normally associated with underwater propeller drives.

XIPS: The Latest Thrust in Propulsion Technology
With the delivery of the PAS-5 satellite to PanAmSat Corporation in 1997, Hughes Space and Communications Company launched a new era in satellite propulsion technology. PAS-5 is the world's first commercial satellite to carry a revolutionary propulsion system which is 10 times more efficient than the systems currently in use: xenon ion propulsion. By the third quarter of 2000, 11 on-orbit satellites were using XIPS. The xenon ion propulsion system, or XIPS (pronounced "zips"), is the culmination of nearly four decades of research into the use of electric propulsion as an alternative to conventional chemical propulsion. NASA Marshall's Advanced Space Transportation Program is conducting revolutionary propulsion research that could dramatically improve every aspect of space propulsion
    • Bold new missions in space Routine economical access to space Reduced trip times throughout the solar system and beyond Routine human missions throughout the solar system
NASA is striving to enhance and develop capabilities to perform world-class exploratory research on advanced propulsion concepts and to effectively manage advanced propulsion research activities across the nation. NASA's Advanced Space Transportation Program is partnering with universities, industry and national laboratories to use their expertise, experience and facilities to achieve propulsion research goals.
    The challenge
In order to traverse the solar system in a reasonable amount of time, energy requirements must increase one or two orders of magnitude. Achieving routine, affordable access to space will require an order-of-magnitude increase in "packaged energy," expressed as a combination of specific impulse and mass fraction.
