    This course provides students an opportunity to develop advanced skills applying the elements and principles of design to interiors. Portfolio projects are integrated throughout the course to provide applications as the students continue their study of floor plans, color schemes, lighting, textures, fabrics, furniture design, and style. Appropriate computer design programs are used in this course which may include CAD. The students will explore the various career opportunities related to interior design. A coordinated project that allows applications of interior design skills in a residential, commercial, or school setting may be a component of this course. pyramid The Cooperative Extension Nutrition, Family, and Consumer Science program in San Luis Obispo County offer programming to consumers and professionals. Our programs include work in nutrition and food safety, parenting, and family resource management.
Food and Nutrition Programs
The Food Stamp Nutrition Education Program (FSNEP)
is designed to assist Food Stamp recipients in purchasing the most nutrition for their food dollar. Classes emphasize the importance of a balanced diet, food shopping, and food safety. Funded by the USDA, this program is provided in 41 California counties through a contract with the California Department of Social Services.
Youth FSNEP is offered free to public schools that serve free or reduced lunches to 50% or more of the student body, school staff is provided curriculum and hands-on training to implement nutrition education in the classroom. Cooperating teachers select from several curriculum options to best meet the needs of their students, including curricula that combine nutrition and gardening. The Ag Education Committee and CE Master Gardeners partner with this project to provide in-school gardening education. On-going teacher support, program updates, and a loan program for cooking equipment and nutrition-related children's books are popular components of this program. In return for the educational resources, teachers are asked to provide a minimum of 6 hours of classroom nutrition education during the school year. More than 80 local teachers are currently enrolled and participating. Available curriculum is the

These requirements are listed below for your reference. Present proof that you are a legal resident of Florida, pay a $50.00 tuition fee. Acceptable proof of residency may be a Manifestation of Domicile (obtained in the Clerk of Courts Office, Building F of the Collier County Courthouse, cost is $ 8.00), a contract for purchase of a home, a rental or lease agreement for a year, or any documentation of the fact that you have resided in Florida for a year or more. (Does not apply to transfer student within Collier County or Migrant students.)
