Some of the code in the text uses commands from the grobner package, such as "gbasis" and "finite". In Release 5 of Maple V, the grobner package has been replaced by an updated version, now called the Groebner package. In the new version, some commands (such as "gbasis") have a different syntax, while other (such as "finite") have different names. Hence, the Maple code in the text will need to be modified if a reader wants to run it under Release 5. We hope in the next printing of Using Algebraic Geometry to update the Maple code so that it is consistent with the Groebner package.
