It is affiliated with the United States Curling Assocation. It was established in 1964. Illinois Girls, Utah Boys Earn Sportsmanship Awards The Illinois junior women and Utah junior men are the 2003 recipients of the Curtis Cup Awards for sportsmanship. The awards, donated by the Curtis family of Portage, Wisconsin, are given to the junior women's and men's teams best exemplifying the "Spirit of Curling" both on and off the ice at the USA Curling Junior National Championships. This year's competition was held at Broomstones Curling Club in Wayland, Massachusetts on January 25 through February 1. The Illinois women's team of Ashley Boyd, Jordan Moulton, Erin Schaefer and Meredith Brown is coached by Doug Boyd; the Utah junior team of Charles Taggart, Mike Bruckner, Steve Taggart, Erik Jensen and Cooper Smith is coached by Jeanne Bruckner.
